Athletic Training

At Mammoth Hospital, we believe strong communities are built on healthy, active people. Through our partnerships with local schools, Mammoth Mountain, and other community organizations, we are dedicated to supporting the safety, performance, and well-being of both young athletes and community members.

Since 2013, Mammoth Hospital has partnered with Mammoth High School and the Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard Teams to keep our young athletes safe and healthy. Our certified athletic trainers provide on-site care for Mammoth and Bishop High School sports and Mammoth Mountain teams. They focus on injury prevention and emergency response to rehabilitation and education on topics like warm-ups, nutrition, and concussion safety.

What Do Athletic Trainers Do?

  • Prevent injuries through education and customized programs.
  • Assess and treat injuries using advanced evaluation techniques.
  • Provide emergency care with CPR, first aid and injury management skills.
  • Rehabilitate athletes to safely return them to play.
  • Promote health and professionalism through ongoing education and teamwork.

Why It Matters

Our athletic trainers work closely with Mammoth Hospital's doctors, nurses, EMTs and physical therapists. Together, we aim to reduce injuries, prevent serious outcomes, and keep athletes doing what they love.
