Biography

Born and raised in Mammoth, Sophia holds an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and a master’s degree in Biological Data Science from Arizona State University. Her academic background has shaped her analytical and data-driven approach to improving healthcare delivery in rural communities.

Since starting in Population Health in 2023, Sophia has lead initiatives focused on improving quality outcomes, value-based care performance, and population health strategy. She monitors the health of several community populations and uses healthcare data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement in preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient outcomes. Sophia also serves as the primary coordinator for the Quality Incentive Pool (QIP) program and as the hospital’s ACO Champion, helping translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights for clinical and administrative teams. Outside of work, she enjoys playing violin, traveling, and hiking with her Australian Shepherd, Schubert.
