Biography

Dr. Sindell grew up in the foothills of Western Maine, in a small college town called Farmington. She went to Siena College and majored in Biology and then to Albany Medical College. She then headed across the country for General Surgery Residency in Seattle, Washington at Virginia Mason Medical Center where she met her husband. After five years in Seattle Dr. Sindell wanted an adventure both personally and professionally, so she and her husband headed north to Anchorage, Alaska.

She worked at Alaska Native Medical Center for five years serving the Native Alaskan population and learning about the indigenous people of Alaska. While in Alaska, she and her husband spent their free time exploring the state. She was excited for the opportunity to live and work in Mammoth with two surgeons she trained with in Seattle and so seized the opportunity to relocate to the Eastern Sierra.

Dr. Sindell and her husband feel fortunate to live in Mammoth Lakes with so many opportunities to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Most of their free time is spent exploring and playing outdoors with their two young children. Dr. Sindell and her family enjoy skiing, biking, hiking and traveling.
