Biography

Dr. Silver graduated college Magna Cum Laude and attended U.C.L.A. School of Medicine, graduating with honors in 1989. He completed a general Internship at California Pacific Medical Center, S.F. in 1990. This was followed by a Residency in Anesthesiology at Stanford University, Palo Alto and a Certificate in Informatics at U.C. Davis.

Dr. Silver has spent the majority of his 33-year career as an Anesthesiologist practicing in Ski Towns of the Sierra Nevada (Truckee and Mammoth). This was fueled by a lifetime passion for Alpine Skiing, Mountaineering, and Mountain Biking.

Dr. Silver has worked in a medical capacity or taught Anesthesia in England, France, Peru, Nepal and Eritrea. He served as a Clinic Physician in Pheriche, Nepal 1996 with the Himalayan Rescue Association. He was an integral part of the events that took place on Mount Everest during 1996 that culminated in the "Into Thin Air" story by Jon Krakauer. He is also an avid traveler having visited over 50 countries.

Dr. Silver is also the primary Product Developer for the patent pending PACE app, which delivers critical care algorithms to clinicians at the point of care and has served as Chief Informatics Officer.

Dr. Silver is the proud father of an 26 year old son; an aspiring ship captain, and a 22 year old daughter, who is interested in the medical field. Dr. Silver is fluent is Spanish.
