Biography

Dr. Jacob Eide is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience. He is committed to helping patients make change by combining highly structured, evidence-based therapies with a warm, collaborative style.

At Mammoth Hospital, Dr. Eide oversaw the Behavioral Health Program for seven years, working on program development and management, supervising clinicians and trainees, and helping build an integrated, patient-centered behavioral health service. Stepping out of that role in the spring of 2025 has allowed him to focus more fully on direct patient care. He now practices as a clinical psychologist within the hospital’s primary care behavioral health program.

Dr. Eide provides evaluation and treatment for a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma-related difficulties, relationship problems, and adjustment to medical conditions and life challenges. His clinical approach draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), TEAM-CBT, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to help patients clarify their values, build practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

Dr. Eide is originally from Minnesota. His education and training led him to live in Kentucky, Indiana, Texas, Oregon, Washington, and Costa Rica. He and his family relocated to Bishop from Seattle in 2015 to find a better work-life balance and live closer to family. He enjoys running, yoga, meditation, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, sailing, snowboarding, community service, and playing and learning a variety of musical instruments.
