Eryn Coffey, LMFT joined the Behavioral Health team in 2017 and brings a thoughtful, integrative approach to her clinical work. She practices from a Jungian-based orientation, drawing on family systems theory, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. Her clinical interests and areas of expertise include self-psychology, attachment theory, and other evidence-based approaches that support insight, growth, and meaningful change.
Eryn has deep roots in the Eastern Sierra. Although she grew up in Southern California, her father has lived in Mammoth since 1987, and Mammoth has been her permanent home since 2005. Her strong connection to the community and the surrounding landscape informs her work and reflects her commitment to supporting the well-being of individuals and families in the region.
Eryn earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Prior to joining Mammoth Hospital, she completed her internship with Inyo County Health and Human Services in Bishop, California. She has also worked with Outreach Concern in Catholic schools throughout South Central Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Through this work, Eryn developed a strong passion for serving underserved communities, particularly children, adolescents, and families. She values an integrative therapeutic process that is responsive to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and life experiences.
Outside of work, Eryn is most at home outdoors. Her love for nature began in childhood while exploring the Eastern Sierra and has become an essential part of her daily life. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering, and finds deep fulfillment in the quiet, challenge, and solitude of the backcountry. In the winter months, she can often be found cross-country skiing or snowboarding—continuing her lifelong passion for exploration and connection with the mountains.
