Emily Thomas, MD

Biography

Originally from Mississippi, Dr. Thomas began her academic journey with a degree in International Relations from Brown, followed by a master’s in Biochemistry and a medical degree from Yale. Her focus on health equity and community service led her to an Internal Medicine residency at UCSF, emphasizing primary care access.

She went on to serve as a primary care provider and medical director in underserved areas of Los Angeles, including county jails and Skid Row, with a focus on patient advocacy, social justice, and integrated care. During this time, she developed a deep connection to the Eastern Sierra through outdoor adventures with her family.

Dr. Thomas is excited to be part of the Mammoth community and continue her work while raising her family in the region she loves.
