Biography

Dr. Elliot DeYoung is a Southern California native who grew up in Laguna Niguel. He attended the University of Southern California for his undergraduate studies before earning his medical degree from the University of Sydney in Australia. After medical school, he worked in the NSW health system before returning to the U.S. to complete two years of general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He then pursued a combined DIRECT vascular interventional radiology residency and fellowship at UC San Diego.

Following his training, Dr. DeYoung practiced in both Honolulu and San Diego as a hospital-based radiologist and interventionalist, while also working in an outpatient vascular practice performing PAD and venous interventions. In 2023, he relocated to Santa Barbara and joined Cottage Hospital as an interventional radiologist.

Outside of work, Dr. DeYoung enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, Reid and Coco. As a family, the DeYoungs love being outdoors—whether enjoying beach days and surfing, camping, hiking, or ski trips. Having grown up visiting the Eastern Sierra, he feels incredibly fortunate to be part of the Mammoth medical community, serving a region that has always held a special place in his heart.
