Debra Slater, MS, PT

Biography

After an early career which included pediatrics, acute neurological rehabilitation, acute care, orthopedics, teaching, and working in Switzerland as a physical therapist, Debra settled down in orthopedic private practice in Long Beach, California. Living in nearby Seal Beach, she had a terrific work/life balance that allowed her and her husband to parent their four kids with a life at the beach and frequent trips to Mammoth Mountain where she and her husband Dave met at Whiskey Creek (now Mammoth Brewery.)

Debra and her husband moved to Mammoth full-time 3 years ago to fulfil their lifelong promise “retirement” would find them residing full time in their mountain home. Her love of physical therapy continues after all these years providing her with patient and peer relationships she has always enjoyed. Assisting patients to full health and wellness continues to motivate her.

Debra enjoys anything outdoors that Mammoth is able to offer, but her passions are golf and downhill skiing. She's also passionate about her four kids and grandkids and loves it when all 14 family members are in town.
