Biography

Dayna is a family nurse practitioner in Mammoth Hospital’s family medicine and pediatric clinics. She grew up in Mammoth (Crowley, to be more precise), which fostered her love for everything outdoors and provided countless examples of individuals and families balancing their careers while taking full advantage of the Sierra. After studying cognitive science at UC Berkeley, she spent a handful of winters teaching Nordic skiing before returning to nursing school at the University of Vermont, where she completed her degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice.

After graduating, she worked for two years at a rural pediatric clinic in Vermont. Though she loved many parts of Vermont, the call of sunny skies, big mountains, and family was too strong a call to ignore, and she and her partner, Isaac, moved back to the Eastside in 2021. Her clinical interests include sexual and reproductive health, gender affirming care, health equity, and preventative medicine. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

In her spare time, Dayna enjoys running, skiing, mountain biking, gardening, cooking, and adventuring with friends and family.
