Biography

Dr. Burrows works as a Hospitalist, caring for inpatients in the Mammoth Hospital Medical and Surgical Unit. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.

He grew up in and went to medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.  He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at University of California at San Diego Medical Center.

Dr. Burrows was in practice in San Diego for 16 years as a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician prior to making the dream of living in the mountains of the Eastern Sierras a reality and moving to Mammoth.

You can take the kid out of Syracuse, but you can’t take the Syracuse out of the kid. Dr. Burrows is no exception to that rule, and he and his family all “bleed orange” when it comes to Syracuse basketball and football!

Dr. Burrows has been on staff at Mammoth Hospital since 2015 and feels very fortunate not only to live here in the mountains, but also to serve the community and visitors to this area.  When he is not in the hospital, you can find him hiking, mountain biking, playing golf, snowboarding, or spending time with his family and his dogs.
