Casey has experience working in the athletic field and medical nutrition therapy. Prior to coming to Mammoth Hospital, she worked for Michigan State athletics as an Sports Dietitian for MSU athletes. Additionally she worked for Spartan Performance training facility assisting in agility, speed, strength training and nutritional performance for athletes and teams in the Lansing, MI community. At MSU, Casey also worked for Spartan Performance Nutrition project, assisting in organizing a program to promote sports nutrition for low income school districts within the state of Michigan.
Casey also has been a Dietetic Internship preceptor for over 10 years, teaching dietetic interns clinical nutrition, sports nutrition and food system management skills to prepare them to take their RD exam and become RD’s.
Casey has been a public speaker for many events, such as Michigan High School Athletic Association's Women in Sports Leadership Conference and Cross Country Conferences. She currently offers team nutrition for the Mammoth Hospital Athletic Training Program.

Casey Piercey was born and raised right down the street in Bishop, CA. When she graduated from Bishop High School she moved to Fresno, CA to pursue her bachelors degree. Casey lived in Fresno for 12 years working as a consult dietitian for skilled nursing, immediate care and acute care facilities. In 2011, she started her own company specializing in sports and wellness nutrition consultation. Following her passion for sports training and sports nutrition, in 2013 Casey relocated to East Lansing, Michigan to pursue her Master’s Degree in Exercise physiology specializing in endurance training and VO2max assessment. In addition to working on her degree, she was a Graduate Assistant for Spartan Performance and Spartan Nutrition & Performance Program, working as a sports dietitian and exercise physiologist. After graduation, Casey decided she wanted to move back to the Eastern Sierras, which brought her to Mammoth Hospital.
In Casey’s free time she enjoys working out, running and skiing. Additionally she loves training and participating in marathons and triathlons.
