Biography

Dr. Christopher Urband is fellowship-trained in orthopaedic sports medicine and shoulder surgery, with a special interest in the treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee injuries.

He completed his fellowship at TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he cared for athletes at all levels, including professional and collegiate teams such as the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Wild, and University of Minnesota athletics (football, basketball, and hockey). He also provided coverage for Gustavus Adolphus University sports, the Minnesota Magicians, X Games Minneapolis, high school football, and numerous tournaments and events. During his training, he gained extensive experience in shoulder reconstruction, including both anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.

An avid skier, surfer, backpacker, cyclist, and triathlete, Dr. Urband enjoys working with active individuals and athletes. He has also authored multiple book chapters on upper extremity conditions.
