Karilyn
Myers, M.A., P.T.,
manages the physical & occupational therapy department. She received
her master’s degree in physical therapy from Stanford University. She
has been a resident of Mammoth Lakes and has practiced physical therapy
here since 1981. Karilyn is a California Children's Services paneled
therapist and is certified in lymphedema management. Karilyn serves on the board of Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra.
Lorraine Koenig, P.T.,
received her degree at Northeastern University. She has been working as a Physical Therapist since 1995. She has taken advanced
coursework in biomechanics of the foot and lower leg in addition to
orthotic therapy. She has worked with running athletes assisting
them in staying healthy while meeting their goals. Lorraine has also had training in Pilates.
Lance Georgeson, M.P.T.,
received his master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of
Puget Sound. He has taken advanced training in manual therapy techniques
for orthopedic rehabilitation. Lance works with the U.S. Snowboard Team
as a team physical therapist.
Rachel Georgeson, M.S., P.T.,
received her master’s degree from Pacific University. . She is a
paneled therapist for California Children's Services. Rachel’s passion is in orthopedic rehabilitation and she has focused her ongoing continuing education on advanced manual therapy techniques.
Sara Morra, MPT,
received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Elon University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida. Sara has advanced training in balance and vesitbular rehabilitation and experience in treatment of neurological and orthopedic patients. Sara has also worked as a team physical therapist for the U.S. Ski Team.
Gillian McChesney, P.T.,
graduated from the University of Ulster in Ireland in 1988 and attained a bachelors of science
with honors in Physical Therapy. She specialized in rehabilitation in the Scottish Spinal Cord
Injuries Unit before moving to Mammoth in 1994. Her specialties include neurological
rehabilitation for all ages and treatment of neck and back pain.
Gary Myers, MA, PT
sreceived his Master’s degree in physical therapy from Stanford University. He has over 30 years of experience in health care and has served the community of Mammoth Lakes since 1981. After practicing physical therapy for many years, Gary served as the CEO of Mammoth Hospital for 13 years and now has returned to patient care in physical therapy. He enjoys orthopedic PT and has a special interest in cardiac rehabilitation and wellness.
Julie Perumal, DPT
graduated with her doctorate degree in PT from Loma Linda University. She has special interests in neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation and uses her skills to assess muscle balance and reeducation. She is an avid climber and wilderness enthusiast and enjoys helping others return to their optimal performance for recreation, competition, or simply for life’s enjoyment.
Kevin Thomas, P.T.A.,
has over 20 years of experience as a licensed physical therapy
assistant. He grew up in Mammoth Lakes and has certification as a ski
instructor,experience as a ski racer and a race coach. Kevin is an
avid cyclist and has specific training in bike fitting to optimize
performance and minimize potential musculoskeletal strain.
Rita Klabacha, M.S.,Exercise Physiologist , received her Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University where she focused on athlete testing and high intensity training. Rita is an Ironman
distance triathlete, a USA Triathlon certified coach, and a coach for the Mammoth Track Club. Rita staffs our Human Performance Lab.
Ellen Obenberger, OT,
is a licensed occupational therapist with specialty certification in
hand therapy. She received her degree from USC. Ellen has over 25
years of experience in a variety of areas including hand therapy,
pediatrics, ergonomics and work hardening, neurology and orthopedics.
Kim Erickson, Jill Lydestrom, Merle Ganong, and Amanda Taylor
are physical therapy aides who are always there to help our patients and
assist our therapists in providing the highest quality care.
Bishop Physical Therapy Clinic
Chris Matteson, MPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS
Chris joined Mammoth Hospital’s SPORT team in August 2011. A former Partner of SMART Physical Therapy in Bishop for six years, Chris is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Chris is also the only Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in Inyo County. He has extensive manual therapy training and specializes in all orthopedic and spinal problems, as well as strength training for functional returns.
Chris completed his undergraduate work at California Lutheran University in 1995 and earned his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University. A former employee of Myers and Associates in Mammoth, Chris worked and traveled with the US Snowboard team in 2000-2002.
Chris grew up in Lone Pine, CA and has lived in Bishop since 2000. Chris has coached football at Bishop High School since 2002, and has worked with Bishop athletes since 2001. In addition to coaching, Chris is an avid hunter and fisherman.
Sheri Pueblo, M.S., P.T.,
received her master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Pacific in 1991 and has over 20 years of primarily orthopedic experience. Her bachelor's degree is in exercise physiology. Sheri has traveled 8 seasons with the U.S. Women's Alpine Ski Team as a team physical therapist. Sheri has comprehensive training in Pilates and incorporates her Pilates background in treatment for women's health and incontinence patients.
