David Araya, M.D., board certified internist, as an internist, Dr. Araya specializes in the treatment of adults with complicated or chronic diseases. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine Grenada, West Indies, followed by an Internship at Case Western Reserve University, MetroHealth Medical Center Cleveland, Ohio and a residency at Case Western University, MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Araya comes to Mammoth Lakes from San Luis Obispo, California where he was employed at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California Men’s Colony. There, he provided primary care and internal medicine to the inmates. Dr. Araya was in charge of public health at this facility for two years as well. He has two children a boy, age 8, and a girl age 6. An avid cyclist, both road and mountain biking, he enjoys skiing, and ice hockey.
